April 23rd and I’ve finally watched my first film of the year - “How to Train Your Dragon”, under recommendation (and constant pressure to watch!) from rawrtajgur! (Not including that weird Roadside Romeo film, of course. That was more background giggles than actual watching, though.)

I won’t go into any particular detail with my thoughts, as I’m most definitely not a film critic considering that I barely ever watch films (those who know me know why this is), but I did thoroughly enjoy the film.

The pacing felt a little off a lot of the time - it felt, at times, like they were trying to rush through too much to get it all to fit in the 90 minutes, but was still a great watch. Toothless is pretty adorable, etc etc.

Next on the watch list is something COMPLETELY different: Downfall.

The Rules of Tumblr

  • Do not make a joke about homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, transexuality, etc etc. You are a literal piece of filth who should be burned at the stake if you do. Get the fuck off Tumblr right now you oppressing piece of cisgendered shit.
  • Instead, make jokes about heterosexuality. These are hilarious, great and most definitely does not show double-standards or hypocrisy.

I can attest that what accounts for the lack of creative debate that makes up social justice troll posts is not because they are childish or lack the cognitive ability to appropriately argue their opponent, but because whatever it is the social justice blogger is responding to is SO OUT OF THIS WORLD AND WHACKY THAT THE ONLY RESPONSE WE CAN GIVE IS TO MINDLESSLY MOCK AND TROLL THEM TO DISTRICT US FROM THE INTENSE AND PASSIONATE RAGE WE ARE FILLED WITH BY READING WHAT PEOPLE APPARENTLY AND ACTUALLY BELIEVE LIKE LOOK AT THIS, ARE YOU SERIOUS LIKE YOU SIR NEED TO SIT DOWN AND COUNT TO 12,000

To be clear, here’s an example of the posts I mean: http://tesdefonceoutesgay.tumblr.com/post/83329149262 (Note that this is just a random blog that has reblogged this photoset. I’m not hating on this person specifically).

If you were to replace that third panel with any sexuality or identity other than heterosexuality that would be a dirty, evil, vindictive post. But because it is heterosexuality it’s sudden hilarious? I’m not going to throw out examples of people, but I’ve seen countless blogs that will get angry at people making a joke about a particular sexuality or identity, but they’ll then reblog or post jokes about heterosexuality.

It’s just a bit hypocritical to do that, don’t you think? I’m not saying you can’t make jokes about anything, I’m saying you can’t make jokes about one label but then get angry if someone makes a joke about your label. That’s all I’m saying.

Following very few people on Tumblr means I only see minimal 420 jokes. This is a good thing, since none of them are ever funny.

So I just had a sales call from my mobile phone network.

She kept calling me “Mr Frah-zeer”. With FRAZER being my first name - not my surname - I asked her to clarify the name of the person she thinks she’s talking to. Her response? “Trust me, I know I’m talking to the right person”.
